Mathew Evans is an AACTA-nominated editor, with almost two decades of experience. He is comfortable in any genre, having worked extensively in drama, comedy, documentary, and advertising. 

In 2025, Mat’s latest Netflix series, Apple Cider Vinegar, achieved global reach, ranking #3 in the Top 10 English TV shows worldwide with 5.6M views. The series also took the #1 spot in multiple countries including Australia, New Zealand & Ireland to name a few, as well as scoring eight nominations at Australia’s Logie Awards. 

Mat’s previous work has been nominated four times at the Australian Screen Editor Awards (ASE), and he also scored a nomination for ‘Best Editor in TV’ at the AACTA Awards in 2019. He has worked with directors including Jane Campion, Warwick Thornton, John Curran and Gracie Otto amongst many more. His work has been seen across the globe in cinemas, streaming and linear TV for clients including Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, AMC, BBC, Stan, ABC Australia and Hulu.

Mat is passionate about all forms of media and is experienced in large-scale productions, involving multiple departments and extensive visual FX. He is also happy to work autonomously on small-scale productions. He has cut a wide array of TV commercials for clients including Budweiser, ALDI, Huggies and a host of others.

Mat currently resides in Sydney, Australia.
