Mathew Evans is an AACTA nominated editor, with over 18 years experience. He is comfortable in any genre, having worked extensively in drama, documentary, comedy and advertising. 

In 2023 Mat was nominated in two categories at the Australian Screen Editor Awards, Best Editor in Drama and Best Editor in Comedy. Previously he has been nominated for two ASE Awards for his comedy and documentary work. Mat also scored a nomination for ‘Best Editor in TV’ at the AACTA Awards in 2019. He has worked with directors including Jane Campion, Warwick Thornton, John Curran and Gracie Otto amongst many more. His work has been seen across the globe in cinemas, streaming and linear TV for clients including Netflix, Disney+, AMC, BBC, Stan, ABC Australia and Hulu.

Mat is passionate about all forms of media and is experienced in large-scale productions, involving multiple departments and extensive visual FX. He is also happy to work autonomously on small-scale productions. He has cut a wide array of TV commercials for clients including Budweiser, ALDI, Huggies and a host of others.

Mat currently resides in Sydney, Australia.
